These truck or trailer mud flaps are 3/16" thick and constructed of polymer, or hard plastic, which is more rigid than rubber and won't sail in the wind. The durable construction can withstand subfreezing temperatures, so these flaps won't get brittle when the rain turns to snow and ice. And despite being more stiff than rubber, these flaps still have enough give to bend rather than break if they hit something on the road.
If you're simply replacing your mud flaps and you already have mounting brackets in place, just line up the pre-drilled holes on these flaps with your mounting plate and reuse your existing hardware. If the holes don't quite line up, you can easily drill new ones.
If you're installing mud flaps for the first time, you'll need to purchase mounting plates (sold separately) and weld them onto your truck or trailer to create attachment points for the flaps. To ensure the most secure attachment, add on bolt hole reinforcement plates (337MFW2375) to keep the flaps from tearing away from the mounts.

I get a lot of service life out of polymer. Review your measurements on your truck and how you want to mount them. They must be secure and should be marked with DOT only reflective tape.
I previously had a rubber mud flap that did not last one trip without starting to tear. These mud flaps are made of a extremely durable ridged plastic and is so durable I left them on the truck even if not towing a trailer. There were very reasonably priced as well. If they ever tear up, and I doubt they will, I will definitely buy some more.
